Yet in Ericeira, no equivalent competitor exists. Recovery happens in basements. Coworking is fragmented. Healthy food has no anchor. Nobody offers all of it, training, recovery, nutrition, and community, in one place built for daily use.

Nuvaya is that place. Built on owned land, to a standard the town has never had.

The Concept

Four pillars. One campus.

Every building, service, and decision at Nuvaya is anchored to four foundational pillars. Not marketing language, but the operational blueprint. Everything opens together: one launch, every revenue stream live from day one.

Physical Performance

A premium ≈500m² training hall over two light-filled levels, a mezzanine overlooking the main floor, fitted with top-tier equipment. Functional training, strength, and mobility for people who train seriously.

Recovery & Regeneration

Four premium Finnish saunas, clean ice baths, cold plunge, jacuzzi, and a silent crystal relaxation lounge, with large amethyst and quartz installations throughout. A full recovery ecosystem built with light, nature, and stone.

An organic, locally sourced, fast-casual restaurant with a generous terrace. Macro-trackable menus, Atlantic fish, regional produce. Come in, eat well, get on with the day.

Community & Coworking

Premium coworking with studios, call rooms, and a content studio. Train in the morning, create all day, same campus.

The Campus

Designed to feel alive.

Three connected wings in a U-form around a private courtyard with outdoor recovery zones and coastal gardens, on a 10,000m²+ owned plot with room to grow.

The gym anchors the rear over two open levels; the recovery wing and the restaurant & coworking wing extend forward as the two sides of the campus. Rooted in Ericeira's Portuguese vernacular, unmistakably contemporary. Final architecture will be developed with our architect; the imagery on this site shows the ambition, not the blueprint.

Deliberately compact, designed to feel full and alive from day one, with room on the land for the outdoor recovery and lifestyle expansion that follows.

Kevin Gansemans

Founder & Creative Director

Fifteen years as filmmaker and creative director at the top of live events: Tomorrowland, Mysteryland, Defqon.1, leading teams of up to forty. A five-year rebuild of his own health, movement, and mindset is the lived experience Nuvaya is built on. Holds the vision of the place: concept, design, member experience, story, and content.

Nikki Willemse

Founder · Brand Strategy & Growth

Dutch entrepreneur based in Portugal. Built an online education and coaching brand from zero to a 50,000-strong audience, then closed it for a new chapter. Earlier founded a fitness business in The Hague. Surfs and trains daily. Holds the vision of the brand in the market: positioning, community, partnerships, and marketing.

Head of Development

Co-Founder · Joining the build

The operator. Someone who has built and opened a venue in Portugal, knows municipal licensing from the inside, and is at home with architects, engineers, and contractors. Holds the ground: land, permits, tender, construction, and opening readiness. Recruitment is under way through the founders' networks.

The Investment

Backed by land. Built as one.

Nuvaya is structured through NVYA Ventures LDA, the Portuguese company that owns both the land and the operations: asset-backed ownership on 10,000m²+ of coastal land, in one clean entity.

One round funds the land and the full Phase 1 build: gym, recovery, restaurant, and coworking, all open on day one. The outdoor recovery and lifestyle expansion that follows is funded from our own cash flow.

It is not just a business. It is a real estate asset, a community, a brand, and a proof of concept for a scalable model.
